Carole Mackavey DNP, MSN, RN, FNP-C, is the Content Specialist for this enduring Continuing Nursing Education offering. Dr. Mackavey is a Family Nurse Practitioner and graduate faculty at Cizik School of Nursing, the University of Texas @ Houston. Dr. Mackavey has been a practicing FNP for over 15 years and teaching for more than ten years. She has worked extensively with diabetic patients and also in wound care. Dr. Mackavey also has a background in cardiovascular disease management. She enjoys building programs and contributing to the education of future providers.
