Madelaine Lawrence, BSN, MSN, Ph.D. is a researcher, author, educator, life coach, hypnotist, certified in forensic hypnosis, and Accredited Provider-Program Director for the RnCeus.com website. Her clinical practice areas include medical-surgical nursing, coronary care, emergency care, public health, and homecare. She has taught undergraduate and graduate nursing students research and served as Director of Nursing Education and Research for a large urban hospital.

Madelaine's academic research and writings include a study of unconscious patient experiences, which contain reports of numerous transpersonal experiences, a prospective study of near-death experiences, a survey of the incidence of deathbed communications, and selective attention during transpersonal experiences surrounding death. She has been interviewed for several lay publications, radio talk shows and appeared on numerous television shows, including ABC's Turning Point with Diane Sawyer.

Madelaine is also the author of six books , both fiction and nonfiction, and numerous professional journal articles. Her most recent novel, hot off the press, Three Worries, is the sequel to A Pocketful of $20s.

Three Worries follows Lynn, a perceptive nursing ED director, managing a trafficked victim's resuscitation, navigating professional and romantic interests, giving out $20s and thwarting a career-threatening plot. Lynn with a police detective and hospital security work to catch the assailant trying to ruin her career.  She has told her boyfriend, an orthopedic surgeon, to stop his ex-wife from ruining their relationship before they can continue seeing each other. She also employs evidence-based face-to-face giving, like assisting with paying for groceries, for positive outcomes for the giver besides the recipient. The book gives detailed descriptions of giving that triggers the feel-good hormones - dopamine, oxytocin, and serotonin- enhancing both Lynn's and the recipients' lives. The book offers a charming and wholesome adventure, catering to mystery lovers who appreciate a capable nurse sleuth.
