Dosage

The usual dose of sildenafil is 50 mg, taken orally approximately one hour before sexual activity.

It is not recommended that the drug be used more than once a day.

Viagra is also available in 25 mg and 100 mg doses. Some adjustments to the dose may be necessary to either counteract the side effects, which are generally mild to moderate, or increase the effectiveness of the medication.
