Course Objectives
The goal of this program is to provide nurses,
and other health professionals, with information about
experiences patients have when they are unconscious.
Upon completion of this program you should be
able to:
- Describe the five states that occur during
unconsciousness:
- unconsciousness
- inner awareness
- perceived (or presumed)
unconsciousness
- distorted consciousness
- exceptional or paranormal
experiences:
- out-of-body experiences
- near-death experiences
- near-death visits
- apparitions of the Grim
Reaper.
- Analyze how movement affects unconscious
patients.
- Describe clinical application of the
information.
