• Larvae
• Hydrocolloid pad (Duoderm, etc.) of sufficient size to provide a protective barrier around the wound
• Mesh, such as Creature Comforts [Dacron chiffon cut to size from the University of California Maggot Laboratory], Tegapore [3M], or white nylon stocking
• Transparent semi-permeable membrane [film] dressing
• Gauze pads and +/- gauze wrap of appropriate sizes
• Suture removal set
• Normal saline
• Silk or cloth tape
• Glue, such as Skin Bond [Smith & Nephew] or contact cement
• Skin protectant

• Marker
• Skin ulcer flow sheet
• Nursing records

Miscellaneous

• Consent form
• Personal protection equipment (PPE) includes clean gloves for handling of maggots and wound dressings and mask, eye protection, and gown when performing treatment where there may be exposure to blood/body fluids.
