Signs of Use
Signs of inhalant abuse can include:
Unusual breath odor or chemical odor on clothing.
Sitting with a pen or marker near the nose.
Slurred or disoriented speech.
Anxiety, excitability, irritability or restlessness.
Drunk, dazed or dizzy appearance.
Repetitive sniffing of clothing especially sleeves.
Hiding rags, clothes or empty containers (such as air fresheners) of the potentially abused products in closets and other places.
Signs of paint or other products where they wouldnt normally be, such as on the face or fingers.
Red or runny eyes or nose.
Spots or sores around the mouth.
Nausea or loss of appetite.
