About the Author

Sandy Keefe, RN, MSN is a free lance writer and is Health Care Manager for Camp Costanoan, a camp for children and adults with developmental disabilities and physical challenges, in Stevens Creek, California.

Sandy is also the mother of three children; her 13-year-old daughter Allie has Down syndrome, a host of medical problems, and severe Sensory Integration Dysfunction.
