Normal or accelerated.

As with junctional rhythm.

P-R interval < .12 secs if P waves are present.

Rhythm

PJC's occur early in the cycle of the baseline rhythm. A full compensatory pause may occur.

PJCs may occur in both healthy and diseased hearts. If they are occasional, they are insignificant. If they are frequent, junctional tachycardia may result.

Treatment is usually not required.
