  5. Describe how educational attainment in women has affected the incidence of DV.
  6. List the risk factors for victims & perpetrators of DV.
  7. Give reasons why women stay in abusive relationships.
  8. Define traumatic bonding.
  9. Cite the most common markers of DV.
  10. Recognize the importance of medical documentation of DV.
  11. Define the nurse’s role in regard to the DV victim’s safety.
  12. Use the funneling technique in interviewing DV victims.
  13. Identify three stages of change DV victims go through.
  14. List four ways perpetrators of DV may be helped.
  15. Examine the source of nurses’ attitudes that make caring for DV victims difficult.
