- Dr. Rebecca P. Ramirez is the Director of Hospitalist Medicine for the Kettering Health Network in Dayton, Ohio. She is board certified in Internal Medicine and Hospice and Palliative Medicine. Her clinical interests include palliative care, patient quality and safety and improving transitions of care. Through collaboration and interdisciplinary teamwork she supports and promotes patient safety through continuous quality improvement initiatives utilizing evidence based medicine. She has co-authored book reviews on the care of the dying patient and the use of Ketamine Infusion for Sickle Cell Crisis Pain in an Adult.
- Madelaine Lawrence, PhD is a researcher, author, educator, professional life coach and Primary Nurse Planner for the RnCeus.com website. She is the author of two books describing transpersonal experiences, In a World of Their Own: Experiencing Unconsciousness and The death view Revolution: A Guide to Transpersonal Experiences Surrounding Death as well as several journal articles. Her most recent article includes descriptions of transpersonal experiences surrounding death during catastrophic events.
